The proposed article presents a scientific and practical review of the model of application of project-based learning technologies in the professional training of modern special educators. Project-based learning is one of the methods that allows students to develop critical thinking, develop new solutions, develop collaboration, find scientific literary resources, present research results and evaluate their own results. By applying this technology in the professional training of special teachers, students can understand their profession, master pedagogical techniques, and solve the main problems in the field of special pedagogy. But although design technology has been a proposed learning method for a relatively long period of time, it is still little used in real practice. This fact may cause a low level of familiarization with the project technology of education in the professional training of special teachers. To this end, the article attempts to develop a model for the application of project-based learning technologies in the professional training of special teachers and describe its scientific and practical foundations.
