The effectiveness of implementing the tasks and problems of art education depends on the creative transformation of students, the development of the ability for self-realization, and the aesthetic transformation of the surrounding reality from a decorative and practical point of view. This actualizes in modern art education the formation of the spiritual worldview of students based on ethnodesign. In this regard, in our study the content of the concepts “art education”, “worldview”, “spiritual worldview”, “ethnic design” are important. The content of art education includes the acquisition of theoretical competence, experience in practical artistic activity, analysis and assessment skills in the formation of a spiritual worldview based on ethnodesign. Here, the content of art education allows students to understand the importance of education for the development of the individual in the formation of his spiritual worldview based on ethnodesign, acquire the skills necessary for practical artistic activity, and accept creativity as an integral part of his activity. Spiritual worldview is a complex quality of a person’s worldview abilities, artistic and spiritual knowledge and practical business skills necessary for worldview activities. Ethnic design is based on national traditional culture, extracts significant meanings from it and makes them relevant in new forms of modern culture and art and in a new period of social development. Art education, based on modern ethnodesign, is a special symbol of time and space, creating many new cultural systems of varying degrees of complexity, relationships between humans and natural elements. Consequently, ethnodesign is considered as part of art education and artistic culture and as a result of the activity of designing objects of ethnocultural space.
