Abstract

This article reveals the essence of social practice in preparing future educational psychologists for professional activities. Social practice is a socially significant activity aimed at solving social problems in order to develop the competence of social interaction. In the process of preparing for professional activity, the organization and content of social practice of students as a future educational psychologist are provided by programs for types of practice in higher educational institutions (educational and educational practice, psychological and pedagogical practice, pedagogical practice, industrial and pedagogical practice). Our study identifies the need to introduce social practice, which plays an important role in the development of social competence of future educational psychologists.Social practice in the process of preparing future educational psychologists for professional activities: firstly, an independent and specific type of practice in the training system; secondly, a form of non-formal education by demonstrating the student’s social activity in the socio-educational space, including in the educational activities of the university outside the classroom. The transformation of professional activity is due to the influence of the following factors: informatization of society; the formation of an open and civil society, the formation of a new cultural type of personality; professionalization of society members throughout life. Under the influence of these factors, not only the content of professional activity changes, but also the methods of its organization, forms of implementation, all this determines the social nature of modern education. Each type of social practice (activist, professional-role, social-project) includes components: goal, objectives, content of activity, development of competencies and results. Activist social practice is initiative activity of a socially significant nature, involving participation in socially significant events. Professional-role social practice is an activity aimed at mastering the social and professional activities of future educational psychologists through participation in specific internal programs of this type of social practice. Social project practice includes the activities of students in the development of professional and pedagogical social projects, their practical implementation and defense. The main goal of our scientific article is to theoretically substantiate the importance of social practice in preparing future educational psychologists for professional activities. Thus, social practice is considered as an independent type of experience in the system of training future educational psychologists, as a type of informal education based on their social activity in the socio-educational space, including in educational activities outside the university classroom.
