The article substantiates the relevance of the presented topic, draws attention to the problem of the formation of interest in the profession of "Teacher" and the development of motivation of high school students to consciously choose a teaching profession. The authors emphasize the relevance in the modern period of early professional orientation of students to the choice of further professional path. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the activities of pedagogical classes as a means of professional orientation and pedagogical support for the preparation of students to choose the profession of "Teacher". To achieve this goal, methods of theoretical analysis and empirical data processing were used. The authors reveal the essence of the concepts of "pedagogical classes", "professional orientation", etc. The analysis made it possible to substantiate methodological approaches in the organization of pedagogical classes. The article describes the scientific and methodological support of the process of pedagogical support for the preparation of students to choose the profession of "Teacher".
