Abstract

Preparing the learners for digital life involves incorporating technology into their education, including digital reading education. The PISA exam incorporates interactive and digital reading content, increasing awareness of digital reading in the future. The study aimed to assess PISA digital reading questions in the context of emerging literacy skills. The research conducted a case study to analyze PISA digital reading questions, understand content and evaluation process, and determine student skills for digital reading. The results showed that 33% of the questions assessed were related to information availability, 24% to synthesizing and critical evaluation, and 19% to verification skills. It is important to incorporate new literacy skills while using digital reading tools to prepare students for foreign tests and improve online comprehension processes.
