The article makes a theoretical analysis of the basic concepts in the formation of the facilitation competence of future primary education teachers. The psychological aspects of the concept of facilitation are described. It will be important for the future specialist to be able to find great resources for self-knowledge, self-esteem and behavior changes. Facilitation, facilitation work and the services of a teacher-facilitator in the concepts of scientists are studied. The concepts of «facilitation» and «facilitator» are being clarified. Facilitation is a tool for training professionals in all fields, which is of higher quality and meets the modern requirements of practice. A facilitator is a specialist whose complexity and diversity of the inner world when it comes to education, his interest in himself and other people, a positive attitude towards himself and others contribute to the professional development of a teacher, improving the quality of education. It is noted that the methodological significance of the formation of the facilitation competence of future teachers of primary education consists of facilitation and system approaches. In the diagnostic works, S. S. Kunkevich's methodology «My personal development» is carried out, dedicated to the study of students' activity in self-development activities. In carrying out the methodology, the degree of activity in the activity of personal self-development of students has been established. At the second stage of diagnostics, respondents are interviewed, the results are analyzed quantitatively, qualitatively. A mathematical and statistical analysis was carried out. As a result of the experiment, scientific and methodological recommendations were given for the formation of the facilitation competence of future primary education teachers.
