The article substantiates the relevance of the development of technical creativity of children in modern Kazakhstan, including the use of distance learning technologies. The role of the teacher in this process and the importance of educational literature in the professional training of future teachers are indicated in the article. The purpose of the article has defined as a description of the methodology of development and the structural and content characteristics of the textbook "Development of technical creativity of schoolchildren using distance learning technologies", intended for professional training of future teachers for supplementary technical education of schoolchildren in the universities. The complementary unity of the systemic, integrative, competency-based and modular approaches; textbook theory, the theory of convergence of traditional and innovative education, the theory of engineering education, in particular, the substantiation of experiential methods for studying theory in an engineering university, issues of textbook quality in the context of a systemic updated content of education were substantiated at the article as a methodology of development of the textbook. The principles of designing the textbook, which are the theoretical basis for its development, such as consistency and integrity, visibility, modularity, integrativity, conciseness and concreteness, continuous self-development are disclosed. A scheme that characterizes the structure and content of the developed textbook is presented. It includes seven modules: "Technical creativity as a scientific phenomenon and the goal of education." "Technological and technological basis for the development of technical creativity of schoolchildren." "Educational robotics as an innovative direction of technical creativity". "ICT in the professional activity of a teacher". "History of development and organization of distance learning". "Development of technical creativity of schoolchildren using distance learning systems (on the example of the Moodle system)". "Means of augmented and virtual reality in the development of technical creativity of schoolchildren". Each module is represented by information, control and evaluation blocks and a self-education block. Into the information blocks of practice-oriented modules (when studying educational robotics; information and communication technologies in the professional activities of a teacher; using the Moodle distance learning system to develop technical creativity; studying the possibilities of augmented and virtual reality in the development of technical creativity of schoolchildren) blocks of practical works ( methodological blocks) are integrated. This made it possible to ensure the unity of theory and practice in the formation of students' competencies aimed at developing the technical creativity of schoolchildren using distance learning technologies.
