Abstract

The content of the article presents a comprehensive scientific analysis of the essence of the preparation of the future teacher-psychologist for the formation of the media culture of high school students. In the nature of the study, the current problems of media culture are considered within the framework of a new direction arising from the combination of information and culture in the process of globalization, the development and activity of media culture, its impact on high school students. The scientific and methodological theory of determining the role of media culture in society is substantiated, priority directions of related media culture are described with the identification of important problems arising from it. The process of media culture in a digital society is widely considered, the theoretical and practical model is presented based on the materials of domestic and foreign publications. Promotes a person's self-expression through modern mass media, his involvement in public life, assimilation of all possible social roles, etc. Modern information technology products affect intelligence, emotions, independent creative and critical thinking, value orientations and beliefs of various social groups. Nevertheless, given that information has both positive and negative types, it is of great importance for the formation of a personality capable of defending itself from the latter.
