The article is devoted to the analysis of the main factors that determine the necessity of implementing the dual model of higher pedagogical education as one of the important mechanisms for improving the quality of professional training of future teachers in Kazakhstan. This article is written within the framework of the structural project No. 618930-EPP-1-2020-1-EL-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP - "Implementing Dual System in Kazakhstan - KAZDUAL" of the ERASMUS+ program. The project consortium includes universities and colleges of Germany, Austria, Estonia, Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstani and international accreditation agencies.

 The main emphasis in this article is placed on to make available the goal, objectives and development of the project of a flexible dual model of higher teacher education in Kazakhstan taking into account the needs of pedagogical practice. This analysis will be the basis for the implementation of the best world practices of dual education, for the integration of theory and practice of professional education, for the study of the main issues of implementation of practice-oriented and student-oriented approaches in modern universities.

The article pays special attention to the peculiarities of modeling as one of the important scientific methods, modern problems of professional training of future teachers related to the involvement of employers in the development of educational programs, to the organization and development of the mentoring institute on the basis of teaching practices in accordance with the basic rules of dual model of education.
