This article is devoted to the use of an educational portal with blockchain elements in the education system of universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The relevance of the study is associated with the need for a theoretical substantiation of the use of blockchain technology in modern education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, since today this technology is new and rather poorly researched from a scientific point of view. The article discusses scenarios for the application of this technology. Solutions of some individual problems in education and science using blockchain technology are considered. The purpose of this study is to determine the methodology for applying blockchain technology in modern education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. When studying the topic "Methodology for using an educational portal with blockchain elements in universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan", the following research methods were applied, such as the method of analysis and synthesis of information, design, logical analysis, as well as positions of scientific objectivity and systematization. In the course of the study, an analysis of scientific sources was carried out on the topic of the investigated issue of the use of blockchain technology; the main directions of the technology application are highlighted; the main approaches to the application of this technology in modern education of the Republic of Kazakhstan are described. The practical significance of the study of the methodology for using an educational portal with blockchain elements lies in the fact that, on the basis of the described models, an approach to the use of blockchain technology in education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan was determined, the degree of possible use of such models in higher educational institutions was determined. This study can be useful for development, in the preparation of a methodological educational program in the direction of "Information technology". The results of this ongoing research are of scientific interest for specialists in the field of modern education technologies.
