FORMATION OF CHILDREN'S READINESS FOR LEARNING IN PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION

Published March 2020
Abstract

The article deals with the problem of children's readiness to learn in pre-school education. The authors define the essence and approaches to defining the concept of “readiness to study at school". The components of school readiness are identified: personal, socio-psychological, intellectual, and individual. The program of diagnostics of children's readiness for learning in pre-school education is defined. The criteria and indicators are presented (medical and physiological-determining the child's compliance with age standards of readiness to study at school; cognitive – determining the development of cognitive processes and their arbitrariness; motivational – the presence of stable motives in children, the formation of the internal position of the future student); levels (low, medium, high) of children's readiness to learn in pre-school education and the results of experimental work.

The article was published through grant funding "The best teacher of the university in 2019".
