The article reveals the requirements for a modern specialist, who should be characterized by the
properties and qualities of adaptive leadership. The reasons are noted for the improper formation of this
phenomenon of future specialists in higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan. As one of the most
important, it is considered - the unavailability of a higher education teacher to carry out activities to educate
future specialists of the properties and qualities of adaptive leadership. Attention is drawn to the fact that the
development of adaptive leadership qualities in the context of the traditional informational subject (linear)
training system is impossible. Attention is focused on the fact that, in the conditions of the challenges of the
XXI century, being an adaptive leader is the norm for a modern specialist. The author reveals the role and
significance of the synergetic approach in the formation of adaptive leadership among students.
