The development of digital technologies is one of the priorities of the modern era and an important step toward improving the quality of teaching and learning. Digitalization is a key trend of the current stage of global economic development and occupies a leading position in education.
The author attempts to characterize the informational and communication methods of managing an electronic educational environment. Based on an analysis of the literature, it was found that scholars include three components in the structure of the digital educational environment: conditions (the platform and the form of delivering educational information), content (the information itself), and outcomes (the level of formation of relevant competencies).
Researchers note that the use of digital technologies for the development of inclusive education is referred to as “e-inclusion,” meaning that digital technologies represent a set of digital devices and information and communication technologies. Categories of digital devices are distinguished depending on the tasks of inclusive education: digital devices for training and practice; digital devices to assist learning; and digital devices that enable and expand learning opportunities (K. Abbott).
