The rapid development of digital education is making large-scale changes in the field of education. Digital changes in education pave the way for the effective use of innovative technologies in education and training. In this regard, there is a growing interest in methods that make it possible to integrate long-standing traditional pedagogical approaches with multimedia tools. One of them is Digital storytelling, which is just being introduced into the domestic educational process. The main feature of this method is the use of images, videos, animations and other multimedia elements when creating digital stories. The purpose of the article: to conduct a systematic review of empirical research on the use of Digital Storytelling technology in primary education, to identify specific features of the use of Digital Storytelling technology in primary education in Kazakhstan based on a comparative analysis of world and domestic research. The study carried out a systematic review of 35 empirical studies that considered the digital storytelling method in Primary Education, published between 2015 and 2025. Scientific papers were obtained from the international databases Scopus, ERIC (Education Resources Information Center) and Google Scholar.
