The article considers transdisciplinarity and considers the current direction in the development of higher art education. In the context of rapid technological and sociocultural transformations of the third millennium, education and art faced a number of new challenges that require not only adaptation, but also a deep reassessment of their goal-setting and methodological guidelines. The modern era, in its instability, information oversaturation, globalization and interconnectedness, calls into question the traditional disciplinary boundaries that have long determined the structure of academic and artistic knowledge. In this context, the importance of transdisciplinary approach as a method capable of overcoming fragmentation and creating new forms of holistic thinking is growing. Transdisciplinary approaches contribute not only to the integration of knowledge from different fields, but also to the formation of new relevant forms of thinking and interaction, thereby reviving a new educational and cultural paradigm in art education, where not just knowledge is required, but the ability to critically rethink and act together in various fields of study.
