Abstract

This article examines the features of the influence of the university educational environment on the professional and personal development of future social pedagogues. The purpose of the study is to determine the effectiveness of the university’s educational environment from the perspective of students and to define its role in the process of professional development. An empirical study was conducted using a survey of 100 students based on L. I. Shumskaya’s methodology “Diagnostics of the educational process in higher education institutions.” The analysis revealed that 60% of students positively assess the educational environment of the university, while 17% express a critical attitude. The findings indicate that the educational environment significantly affects the professional self-identification, civic responsibility and value orientations of future social pedagogues. Furthermore, the results emphasize the crucial role of mentoring and emotional support in fully developing students’ personal potential. The article highlights the importance of fostering a culture of pedagogical interaction in higher education institutions. It also discusses directions for improving the educational process, including the development of leadership skills, enhancement of student engagement, and ensuring psychological well-being. The obtained results provide a theoretical and practical basis for enhancing the educational environment in universities.
