The article examines the issue of introducing artificial intelligence technologies into the higher education system and their influence on the development of students’ learning motivation. Today, the field of education is closely intertwined with digital transformation, which creates a need to rethink the learning process and combine traditional methods with innovative technological solutions. In this context, artificial intelligence technologies are becoming an important component of educational content. Within these changes, artificial intelligence gains particular significance as an effective tool that can take into account each student’s individual learning pace, adapt assignments, provide prompt feedback, and awaken cognitive interest.
The main focus of the study is to reveal the pedagogical potential of artificial intelligence in shaping students’ learning motivation and to assess the possibilities of its application in higher education. For this purpose, domestic and foreign scientific works were analyzed, and the functions of artificial intelligence in the educational environment, its areas of application, and effective mechanisms of influence on learning activity were examined. The analysis of scientific data showed that this technology does not leave students at the level of passive recipients of ready-made information, but encourages them toward independent inquiry, conscious evaluation of learning outcomes, and deeper engagement with the content of the discipline.
The results of the study highlight the need for the rational and responsible use of artificial intelligence in the higher education system. The scientific conclusions of the work provide a basis for clarifying the pedagogical significance of artificial intelligence, for a deeper assessment of its place in educational practice, and for identifying directions for future research.
