In the article, the authors tried, based on the analysis of scientific, pedagogical, and specialized literature, to uncover the problem of post-course support for the program "Director- leader of a new formation" in the context of digitalization. A review of the literature showed that the study of directorship as a subject of research began in Anglo-Saxon countries, and since the 1900s, scientists in the United States, Great Britain, Australia, and Canada have been researching various issues related to school principals.

Based on the study of best practices in the development of competencies and skills of managers of secondary educational institutions, the authors tried to present a modular program of advanced training courses "Director- leader of a new formation", as well as a system of post-course support for this program.

The peculiarity of this study is that for the first time in the framework of Kazakh science, scientists have tried to present their vision of the problem of post-course support for the program "Director- leader of a new formation" in the context of digitalization.
