PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS FOR IMPROVING PHYSICAL EDUCATION OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Abstract

The article examines the pedagogical conditions for improving physical education of students. The relevance of the research is due to the contradiction between the state strategy of forming a healthy nation and the insufficient effectiveness of the traditional system of physical education in universities. The purpose of the research is the scientific substantiation and experimental verification of pedagogical conditions that ensure the improvement of students' physical education. The research methodology is quantitative, with a sample size of n=303 students. Pedagogical conditions for improving physical education include creating a health-preserving educational environment, implementing innovative technologies, ensuring content variability, implementing interdisciplinary connections, and integrating curricular and extracurricular physical education and sports activities. The research results demonstrate statistically significant positive changes in the experimental group: an increase in the number of students with a high level of physical education by 10%, with a medium level by 19%, while reducing the proportion of students with a low level by 29%. The application of nonparametric statistical criteria (Mann-Whitney U-test and Wilcoxon T-test) confirmed the significance of the obtained results. Practical recommendations for improving the system of physical education at universities are proposed.
