The article examines the key aspects of professional orientation and pre-professional training of young people with special needs in modern society. The relevance of the topic is due to the growing need to integrate people with disabilities into the labor market and social life, which requires educational institutions to develop special approaches and programs. The existing approaches to assessing the readiness of these students to choose a profession are analyzed, methodological tools and techniques that can be used to identify their interests, abilities and preferences are considered. The authors emphasize the importance of an individual approach to each student, taking into account his abilities, interests and limitations. The article also presents the results of an empirical study conducted among students with disabilities. The authors emphasize the importance of an integrated approach to assessing students' readiness to choose a future profession and the need to introduce innovative methods into the practice of vocational guidance to create equal opportunities for all.
