Abstract

The article is devoted to the theoretical foundations of socialization of students through local history activities. In the conditions of the modern educational environment, socialization is an important process, including the acquisition of values, culture, development of social identity and the formation of an active civic position. One of the effective ways of socialization is local history. Local history, as a form of educational and cultural practice, contributes to the formation of a sense of belonging to their homeland in schoolchildren, an awareness of the importance of the historical and cultural heritage of the region. During local history events, students not only study the history of their native land, nature, traditions and customs, but also participate in collective activities, which helps to develop communication skills, leadership qualities and teamwork skills. Local history activities actively involve students in research, project and creative activities, forming important social skills, such as responsibility, the ability to work in a team and make independent decisions. In the process of working on local history projects, children interact with teachers, explore historical materials, participate in expeditions and excursions, which contributes to their integration into the cultural and social environment. This, in turn, strengthens the social identity of schoolchildren and helps them adapt to society.
