The article presents a methodology for developing the digital skills of students of future primary school teachers. First of all, the theoretical aspects of the concepts of digital skill and digital literacy are considered. The role of a future primary education teacher is characterized by the following types of work: facilitator, moderator, assistant, mentor, mentor, tutor, game teacher, startup mentor, smart teacher, online platformer. Such literacy in the digital age has universal universal significance, it is necessary for all members of society and is an important component of human information culture. The concept of digital skill is partially clarified by the authors based on international research.
In the empirical section, 72 respondents from the control group and 72 respondents from the experimental group participated in the definition experiment, for a total of 144 students, whose results are analyzed in quantitative and percentage terms. According to the ascertaining experiment, an author's survey of future primary school teachers was conducted to determine the level of understanding related to digital skills. The results of the survey were reflected in graphs and histograms. The article also provides a methodology for developing the digital skills of students of future primary school teachers. In the experiment on the formation, the content of the elective course "Developing digital skills of younger schoolchildren" and the educational and thematic plan of this methodology are given.
