TOOLS FOR ASSESSING STUDENTS' COMPETENCIES IN THE FIELD OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The practice of assessing students' competencies in the field of sustainable development is still in its infancy, but there is a general consensus regarding the competencies that professionals in the field of sustainable development should possess.

Analyze how students' competencies are assessed in the field of objective sustainable development.

Research methods. The articledevoted to the assessment of students' competenciesin the field of sustainabledevelopmentisacontributiontounderstandinghow to taketheseaspects into account ineducationalprocesses.Aspart of the study, a systematicreview of the literaturewasconducted,whichallows us to identifyexistingapproachesandtoolsusedtoassessknowledge,skillsandattitudesinthiskeyarea.At the initialstage of the analysis, the literaturecovers a widerange of existingstudiesthatconsidervariousassessmentmethods. It is important to notethatthesemethodscanrangefromtraditionalteststomoreinnovativeapproaches. As aresult of studyingcurrentpractices, a typology of assessmenttools has beendeveloped,whichincludesthreemainapproaches:approachesbased on self-perception;observation;testing.

The analysisallows us to identifyseveralareasforimprovingexistingassessmenttools.First, the emphasisonintegratingdifferentmethodscansignificantlyimprove the reliabilityandvalidity of estimates.Secondly, the development of new,moremoderntechnologiescanfacilitate the assessmentprocessandmakeitmoreinteractive.

The article concludes that in order to effectively assess competencies in the field of sustainable development, it is necessary to take into account various aspects and approaches. Recommendations for practical application in the university environment include the development of a unified assessment system that will combine all the proposed methods, as well as training teachers to work with these tools. Thus, the article serves as a useful resource for teachers, researchers and educational program managers seeking a deeper understanding and application of tools for assessing students' competencies in the field of sustainable development.
