The article discusses the methodological principles that constitute the most important methodological basis in the research activities of a music teacher, as the initial guidelines in his scientific, theoretical and practical training. They are designed to perform a guiding and organizing function in the application of methodological analysis - the leading means in the formation of a specialist’s methodological culture. In the study, the significant principles of methodological analysis were: systematicity and integrity, the dialectical unity of the universal, the general and the particular. The methodological principle of systematicity and integrity directs research thought to a comprehensive study of the object, presupposing a holistic “vision” of the phenomenon being studied in all its internal and external connections, opening up broad opportunities in research practice for the process of scientific and artistic knowledge. This principle determines ways to include methodological knowledge in the arsenal of necessary means of professional activity of a music teacher.
In the pedagogy of music education, systematicity focuses on identifying the integrity of artistic phenomena, assuming the dependence of each element on the organization of the whole. The methodological principle of the unity of the universal, the general and the particular reflects the connections and goals of the methodology of music education pedagogy, aimed at developing the creative personality of a teacher-musician who is ready to comprehend the diverse phenomena of musical reality. A significant method that is directly related to the problems of pedagogy of music education is the method of professional orientation of the individual, which is associated with certain aspects of performing analytical operations - logical, professional, psychological, specifying and directing their content. The structural characteristic of this method is to use it to specify each level of methodological analysis, focusing it on the direct or indirect creative use of the results obtained.
