Abstract

The article is devoted to substantiating the necessity of forming digital competences of future teachers. The authors studied the theoretical aspects of the digital competence of future teachers and conducted a survey on the use of digital technologies in the training of teachers in the secondary education system. As a result of the survey conducted with the aim of studying the digital competences of future teachers, a high level of need for the development of their digital competences was determined. Recommendations for the formation of digital competences of teachers were developed based on the opinions of the respondents. The authors concluded that a modern teacher should effectively use available digital technologies, various text and graphic editors, information processing tools, programs for creating electronic presentations, as well as learn new technologies, pay special attention to self-improvement and development of their digital literacy and necessary digital skills. The research was carried out in the collaborative environment of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan within the framework of the implementation of the goals of the scientific project.
