The article examines trends and prospects for the development of silver universities in the context of lifelong education. The purpose of the study is to review the world experience of integrating older people into new conditions, in which the authors give interesting examples of attracting retirees to the service sector, creative professions, education, etc. Training in media and financial literacy, learning languages and developing computer skills allow retirees to avoid loneliness, increase communication and participate in social life. A variety of additional education programs promote further self-realization and improve the quality of life and generally affect their psychological well-being. The results of the study confirm the hypothesis put forward by the authors about the need to expand the forms and content of training, the readiness of older people to continue an active life and the desire to improve. Along with this, respondents expressed uncertainty about the quality of educational programs and the possibility of further employment, including among respondents aged 20-30 years, and the need for further study of the potential of the “45+ generation” in modern conditions was justified.
