The article considers the practical possibilities of the method of active training - case study method in accordance with the requirements of the updated educational program. It is presented in two main directions: first-further development of mental skills formed by the abilities of the person, improving the information processing skills of the training material and the second - communication with systemic and effective special actions of a competent specialist, meeting such complex requirements in a changing professional environment.

Future music teachers demonstrate and improve their analytical thinking skills by preparing study cases in the course «Methods of teaching music» and at the individual lesson «Main musical instrument: dombyra», through group work they are trained in the search for rational solutions to pedagogical situations. The authors also consider the possibilities of independent construction
