Abstract

The article deals with the socio-pedagogical aspects of the Index of well-being of the studying youth of Kazakhstan. The authors substantiate the relevance of the phenomenon under study and analyze the current situation on a comprehensive assessment of the quality of life and conditions of youth education within the framework of grant funding AP19678139 Assessment of socio-psychological opportunities for intensive growth of the well-being of young students in Western Kazakhstan. The Youth Well-being Index is defined as an important tool for measuring and analyzing the quality of life of young people. Its role is to measure the quality of life of young people, compare between regions and countries, monitor changes in well-being over time and identify priorities for the development of policies and programs to support youth. The genesis of the development of the International Index is presented and the characteristics of its components and results are given, such as: health and well-being (assessment of the health status of young people, access to medical services, preventive medicine and physical activity); employment and economic situation (measuring the level of employment, income, employment opportunities and entrepreneurship); information and communication technologies (Internet access, mobile phones, instant messaging); level of social support and inclusion (availability of social support, involvement in public life, participation in leisure and cultural events); security and protection (the level of security, accessibility of legal protection and respect for the rights of young people). The results of 2014-2020 of the Scientific Research Center "Youth" are confirmed by the results of 2023 on the example of 101 2nd-year students of the city of Almaty.
