This scientific article is devoted to the analysis and research of the formation of professionally-based competence in the educational process of the university through using digital technologies. The scientific article consists of studying the concept of «professionally-based competence», introducing its sub-competences, presenting the methodology for using digital technologies to form professionally-based competence in the educational process of the university and testing it on the basis of an experiment. To determine the theoretical significance of a scientific article, scientific resources related to the topic of scientific work were analyzed and researched. The concept of «professionally-based competence» was defined. The sub-competences of the professionally-based competence of the future foreign language teacher were presented. The importance of using digital technologies for the formation of professionally-based competence in the educational process of the university was described. The types of digital technologies for the formation of professionally-based competence in the educational process of the university were analyzed. The use of blockchain technology for the formation of professionally-based competence was described. A methodology for the formation of professionally-based competence in the educational process of the university was developed. An experiment was carried out using methodology for the formation of professionally-based competence. An analysis of the experiment was performed. Based on the analysis, the result of the experiment was obtained.
