The article describes the essence and analyzes the content of the concepts of «image», «pedagogical image» in the formation of the image of future primary school teachers. The characteristic is philosophical (health, beauty «by its nature, personal value», wisdom, justice, stability, tranquility, the energy information field of a person); psychological (behavior, orientation of something and professionalism, tool, cognitive elements) and pedagogical (the secret of personal and profession-related attractiveness on the professional path; conformity of the internal image of the profession) the concept of «image». A content analysis of the concepts of «Image» and «teacher's image» is proposed. The concept of «pedagogical image» is classified. In the course of theoretical analysis, two types of images are characterized. They are called: attractive image and external image. An attractive image includes: punctuality, business style, manner, demeanor, smile. The article presents the components of the external image of future primary school teachers: facial expressions, strength and timbre of voice, costume, gesture, manner. The external image says that in order to create a harmonious impression, it is necessary: expressive speech, knowledge of the psychological impact of the style and color of clothing, attention to standing posture, facial expressions and manner.
The empirical section explains the course of diagnostic work on the «Methodology for diagnosing the level of self-development and professional and pedagogical activity» (Berezhnova L. N.), designed for diagnostics in order to maintain the image. In conclusion, scientific and methodological recommendations are given.
