FEATURES OF UNIVERSITY TRAINING OF FUTURE TEACHERS ‒ REPRESENTATIVES OF THE DIGITAL GENERATION

Abstract

The digitalization of all spheres of human activity cannot but affect educational processes. Those who are now mastering profession of a teacher in universities will determine education system of future with their professional activities. Today's students are typical representatives of digital generation, so study of the characteristics of this generation is relevant in light of solving problem of modernizing and developing educational system in response to challenges of 21st century. Thus, there is an acute issue of finding most effective forms, methods and techniques of university education for future teachers, who, on one hand, are themselves representatives of digital generation, on other hand, will be forced to teach schoolchildren who are even more digitally oriented. Purpose of study: based on generalization of characteristic features of digital generation, to update ideas of transforming methods and forms of university training of future teachers - typical representatives of this generation. Theoretical study was based on an aspect analysis of scientific sources. To collect empirical data, an online survey of practicing school teachers and university teachers was used. Materials presented in article may be useful in carrying out further research on this problem and, in addition, can be used by practicing teachers in their professional activities.
