The article highlights some of the difficulties in organizing the assessment of students ' knowledge in
the country's universities. An analysis of the results of a sociological survey on this issue with the
participation of the faculty of the university. The authors note the importance of applying the system of
criteria assessment in accordance with the requirements of the updated education system. They also
emphasize a number of factors that prevent an objective assessment of students ' knowledge. According to
the authors, a well-organized system of knowledge assessment will be the key to strengthening the authority
of the University.
