Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the priority areas of patriotic education in the primary education system in the framework of the formation of the values ​​of Kazakhstani patriotism among younger schoolchildren. The author noted that the system of local history education of primary school students, as a component of national education, should use local history tools in various forms of educational and extracurricular activities. The importance of local history work, which occupies an important place in the educational process of the primary level, is indicated. According to the author, the assimilation of local history materials contributes to the upbringing of a sense of national consciousness, patriotism, high morality in junior schoolchildren, develops aesthetic and physical qualities, and influences their spiritual and moral orientation. The article notes that local history is an important element of primary education, since it gives an expanded understanding of the origins of the native land and more deeply reveals the picture of historical events within a particular region. Scientific novelty lies in the development of theoretically grounded means of new content, forms and methods of work that create optimal conditions for the formation of the values ​​of Kazakhstani patriotism among younger students; in a comprehensive interrelated consideration of the main directions of patriotic work with modern schoolchildren by means of local history.
