Modern teaching methods, including the teaching methods of Russian as a foreign language, have begun to actively master innovative digital technologies and adapt them to the transition of education to digital platforms. To some extent, there has been a transformation and evolution of traditional methods, techniques, and activities. This study raises the problem of digital transformation of the educational process. The necessity of adaptation of traditional methods and technologies in teaching Russian as a foreign language to new realities and trends in the field of modern educational process is actualized. Using the example of the digital evolution of dictation as a type of educational activity, the possibilities of using innovative digital techniques and the use of digital technologies in the process of teaching Russian as a foreign language are considered. An attempt is made to state the evolution of dictation from traditional to digital, implemented through the digital capabilities of the educational process, in order to raise the question of the effectiveness of this type of written work in the process of teaching.
