This systematic review evaluates the effectiveness of pedagogical approaches aimed at developing a culture of safe living among primary school students. Recognizing the crucial role of primary education in establishing lifelong safety habits, the review synthesizes recent research findings on programs and strategies designed to enhance students’ awareness, knowledge, and safety-related behavioral skills. The included studies examine various pedagogical approaches, such as interactive learning, experiential and practice-based instruction, as well as the involvement of families and communities in the educational process. Their impact on students’ knowledge, attitudes, and safety-related behaviors is analyzed. The findings emphasize the importance of integrating theoretical and practical learning and demonstrate the effectiveness of age-appropriate, integrative educational approaches. Furthermore, the review highlights the need for standardized instruments to measure changes in knowledge, attitudes, and safety-related behaviors. Standardized outcome measures improve comparability across studies and enhance the reliability of systematic reviews in this field. Future educational programs should adopt a holistic approach involving students, teachers, and parents. In addition, further research is needed to explore the potential of digital technologies and educational resources in promoting safe living practices.
