The article examines contemporary trends in the professional training of ceramic artists in higher education institutions of China. The authors analyze the key directions of educational programs aimed at preparing a new generation of ceramic artists. The study reveals that modern educational programs focus on a harmonious combination of artistic mastery, individuality, and professional mobility, which enables graduates to successfully adapt to global trends in contemporary art and design.

The research employs analytical and comparative methods, as well as qualitative research methods for studying educational programs of leading higher education institutions in China and other countries.

An analysis of scholarly literature and educational practice demonstrates that contemporary training programs for ceramic artists in China are characterized by the integration of traditional and modern ceramic techniques, which ensures the preservation of cultural heritage while fostering innovative forms; a strong focus on the individual creative development of students, enabling the formation of a unique artistic style; the inclusion of project-based and research-oriented activities that enhance professional mobility and the ability to work in international artistic contexts; as well as the application of an interdisciplinary approach that promotes the creation of multifunctional ceramic products and art objects.
