Abstract

The main focus of this study is to provide a scientific evaluation of the ethnopedagogical features in implementing environmental education practices through the activities of children’s and adolescents’ public organizations in schools. This highlights the need to design a modern system of environmental education for the Alpha and Beta generations based on national values. These values are deeply rooted in Kazakh folk pedagogy, which emphasizes the protection and preservation of nature through traditional taboos and customs reflecting a deep understanding of the environment.

     The material explores how the systematic planning of various ethnopedagogically significant activities, through self-initiated student groups and associations at schools, promotes the application of acquired knowledge for the benefit of society. Specifically, it provides a comprehensive description—based on practical, experimental, and analytical results—of the necessity to create student ecological groups and associations involved in socially beneficial work. This includes processing products of green technologies and developing flower beds, vermitechnologies, biohumus production, and greenhouse farming on educational and training plots. It also covers eco-friendly activities within school buildings such as hydroponics, conservatories, Micro Green cultivation, and others.

     Based on the gained experience, the study also examines the ethnopedagogical characteristics of educating the younger generation on the benefits of environmentally safe products. This is analyzed through global-level environmental documents and the achievements of green technologies, offering insights grounded in scientific research and practical experience.
