The article considers the need for younger schoolchildren of media literacy, which allows you to solve practical problems in the information society, to use information in various types of its presentation, to own methods of communication using interactive methods in media space.

The purpose of the article is to develop and experimental verification of pedagogical conditions for the formation of media literacy among younger students.

Based on the analysis of various approaches in this study, the authors revealed that the phenomenon under consideration was practically not investigated, and in pedagogy it is only defined as a scientific problem. The authors are determined by the concept of "media literacy." The authors of the article also determine the pedagogical conditions and propose to use them taking into account the formative impact on all components of the media literacy of younger students.

The article presents a system of meters of media graphicity of younger students, describes the results of an experimental study on the use of proposed pedagogical conditions. It is concluded that when teaching younger students, it is important to take into account that media graphism is a component of the student’s personality trait, and when forming in the primary education system, it is effective to use the proposed complex of pedagogical conditions.

The results of the study can be useful both for practicing primary school teachers, and for developers of educational programs and resources aimed at developing media literacy among younger students. The possibilities presented in the article can serve as the basis for creating effective curricula and programs that contribute to the successful formation of media graphic skills among younger students.
