The article discusses the transfer of entrance exams to doctoral studies in electronic format. As part of the study, a sociological survey of doctoral students enrolled in 2021 was conducted to receive feedback on the quality, level of transparency and reduction of corruption risks of entrance exams. The relevance of this work is due to the fact that the digitalization of state examinations revealed gaps, and reduced corruption risks, as well as saved the country's budget. As a result, when digitalization is introduced during state examinations, the question of the quality of questions and the definition of the exam policy remains open. In this regard, the article is devoted to the problem of modification of the policy of conducting the entrance exam to doctoral studies in Kazakhstan. The purpose of this article is to analyze the modification policy of the doctoral entrance exam in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The scientific significance lies in the fact that the study contributes to the study of the need to modify the policy of conducting the entrance exam for doctoral studies. The practical significance of the work lies in the fact that the results of this work will be an impetus for further study of this issue. The following research methods were used in the work: text analysis in the form of an analysis of scientific literature influencing the study of the modification policy of the entrance exam for doctoral studies; comparative analysis in the form of studying and summarizing the information obtained during the study. The main conclusions and the value of the conducted research is the study of the modification of entrance exams.
