Modern research in the field of education demonstrates the need for the full implementation of the principle of linking theory with practice at the university, the development of tools for the organization of practice-oriented training of students. The article reveals the rules for the implementation of this principle in the process of teaching students. Special emphasis is placed on the fact that this principle should permeate all forms of organization of educational classes at the university: lecture, practical lesson, independent work of students with a teacher. The study conducted by the authors showed that students understand the scope of application of the theoretical knowledge and practical skills obtained, but they do not have a clear idea how to implement this in their future professional activities. The paper presents a model of practice-oriented learning, provides illustrative examples of the organization of binary classes, the authors offer recommendations for the organization of training sessions based on the principle of theory-practice connection.
